folk art !

Are you in to folk art ? We have just the thing if you are . It took me a long time to do this mirror . It had to be just right . I have wood burn and glued wooden animals on it. John found this awesome antique hall tree and shoe shine box .

This is the find of the year ! John re did this great antique hall tree and shoe shine box . At one time it was used in a place downtown Dothan for a shoeshine bench. The shoeshine box is a pieces of art in itself . It was handmade . We had it at Land of Cotton Antique Mall . It was such a great pieace it was for sale for only for 4 days . But want to share the history and the before and after pictures of it . Hope you enjoy.

We redo and redesign chandeliers .

We have many chandeliers that we have re done and re designed . We don;t have pix of all of the . But this is one of my favorite . All we did is clean it up and slap a little of paint on it to highlight it .It you are looking for a new look for one of your chandeliers we can do it but you have to get someone to take it down and put it back up . We have this bubblegum pink one that is so sweet and could go with a lot of styles . We have heard many people say that the pink needed to be toned down .

Well, the groovy cool bubble gum pink has been distressed . You will have to go to Old South Antique Mall to see the new look on it . It is the whole bed room set or buy the pieces you need . The bed is full size . The vanity has a great old round mirror.The cute little wardrobe was sold at Old South Antique Mall . Thanks to the people who bought it . The rest of the set is still for sale and most likely will not stay long ,because it is looking like people are sick of the cold and are getting out and shopping . So, if you are looking at any of these pieces and want any , you need to go to Old South Antique Mall and ask them at the front counter to show you where it is . We have moved it once again . Have a whole new set up with it to show you the different ways it could be used. We can still can add art to it and to the room you are going to put it in.

this is a great old little china cabinet ...

This china cabinet has been marked down . You can pick it up at Land of Cotton . It has a glass door , one middle drawer , and two wooden doors on the bottom for storage . The color is great and will match any other colors you have going on . The rounded corners is the reasone why we picked it up . You can place a light in it to hepl show off your china or silver plate . We have lotz of silver plate.This china cabinet you see in the picture has been sold . Things do not last long at Land Of Cotton . So if you see it you better bye it right then. We will have new items in all the time . Antique mirror...

Here we have an early 1900's mountable mirror without vanity. We have it for sale at Land of Cotton Antique Mall . It has great lines and can be mounted onto another vanity or hung on wall. If you are going in to buy it ask the staff at front counter for it .Tell them it is in v13 ( Velvet's) booth and they will take you to it.

We are not doing real stained glass yet but...

How about faux stained glass. Yes, you heard right faux stain glass . It is a more cost effective way to go . If you have a window in you home or business that could us color this is what you need .We also have windows we paint up for you to hang indoor and out . They look groovy in front of a window , so that the sun shines through.It will spread color all over your room. We have lotz of designs and can do custom pieces as well.

Here are some sunfaces we did for local restaurnt !

These are some very colorful sunfaces we painted for local Mexican Restaurnt . There are even sunfaces painted in some of the muralz we did . We painted 2D muralz from the floor , ceiling , wallz , And windows inside and outside. We even re did the some of the pinadas . Had a groovy time doing the place. Floor mural included faux Mexican tilez . We made it into a free biker magazine with the work we did in the restaurnt. It took around 6 weeks to complete the whole process.

I know if you are in the Dothan area you know it is the peanut capital of the world !

We are proud to say we have a part of that peanut craze . We have done 2 of though crazy peanuts you have seen . We did the othro nut at The Brace Place and Eletro Nut for Wiregrass Electric Co/Op . It takes along time to do one but the finished piece of art is great . If you are not in the Dothan , Alabama area go on peanutsaroundtown.com and you can see most of them . Everyone around here are NUTS about them .

This is our groovy dogs that are our muse and our life .

This is Moon Doggie the most happiess dog I have ever seen. Both of our dogs are recuse and in our eyes the only way to go . Seem to me that there are way to many animals that are unwant by people that shouln't have had them to being with. If it isn't for life don't have one at all. Velvet most of you have seen around town . You may know her as the zen dog or super terrier! And may have seen her on her sk8board. We love our animals . Both of them are mix breads ,which is in our eye better than full ,because of the inbreeding that goes on and puppy mills . Anyway , off of my soap box and enjoy our pix of our girlz.This is a mini mural I did of Velvet our super terrier. It is in our kitchen . The moon , stars and windows glow in the dark !

This New Orleans mural in done at Old South Antique Mall in Dothan , Alabama . It is in the New Orleans room . The doors were so unattractive before and we gave it life . It rockz with the other colors in the room . We have done many thingz in Old South and have booths there as well. New Orleans is one of our favorite places and love to use it in our art . We did this piece for a funky furniture auction . To help kidz that want to furture their learning in the arts . The muse as you can see is the beatnik era! It is a very colorful piece. On each drawer is a different picture of the groovy beatniks partying. Doesn't it make you want to climb in and party with them . We love to do the funky art and furniture.
